This is Huddersfield's finest urban Bar and Restaurant.
Lounge 68, an innovative bar/restaurant right in the centre of town. From the reviews, you might have it down as a haunt of footballers and soap stars, and it certainly struts its stuff as a hip, celebrity hangout.
The place is on two levels and takes its cue from lounge bars around the world, with a seductive, dimly lit interior and cutting edge design. During the week, the kitchen serves up a jazzy assortment of global dishes, kicking off with plates of tapas and Mediterranean meze. Elsewhere on the menu, you can expect a high-flying mix of Thai fishcakes, crispy duck leg with plum sauce and pancakes, grilled Cajun chicken with Caesar salad and chilli fries, lobster ravioli with smoked salmon and sun dried tomatoes, plus burgers, grills and desserts such as chocolate brownie with hazelnut and butterscotch sauce or warmed spiced rice with mango and passion fruit salad.
At weekends, it's cocktails all the way in the lounge bar as the DJs and sounds take over the scene.
